Former Huyck Felt Manufacturing Facility

In 1996, James Ogle strategically acquired the former Huyck Felt manufacturing facility in Aliceville, Alabama—a 103-acre industrial site with direct frontage on the Tennessee–Tombigbee Waterway and a 204,000-square-foot factory building. The facility was once a major regional employer, producing paper-machine felts before operations were discontinued. The asset's strategic location, infrastructure, and scale later supported its redevelopment potential. In 2011, the property was acquired by The Westervelt Company for conversion into a wood-pellet fuel production facility—demonstrating IDC leadership's ability to identify undervalued industrial assets and position them for their highest and best use.

Baytown Texas UMO Plant

IDC successfully delivered a 1,000-barrel-per-day used motor oil (UMO) processing plant located in Baytown, Texas. The facility is currently in production and represents a fully executed modular-scale energy project. IDC provided end-to-end project development and management services, including project structuring, execution oversight, and the sourcing of senior debt financing. The project was completed in 2021 with total capitalization of approximately $8 million. This project demonstrates IDC's ability to guide energy assets from development through financing and into active operations, while aligning technical execution with capital markets requirements.

Jennings Louisiana Refinery

IDC is currently leading the acquisition and restoration of a previously closed 15,000-barrel-per-day crude oil refinery. The project represents a strategic redevelopment of existing energy infrastructure, focused on restoring production capacity through disciplined execution and structured capital deployment. IDC structured the acquisition and secured project financing totaling approximately $25 million. The project is underway as a work-in-progress and reflects IDC's ability to originate, capitalize, and advance complex energy assets through early-stage execution. This assignment highlights IDC's expertise in acquisition structuring, capital formation, and project management for large-scale energy infrastructure, as well as its ability to unlock value from underutilized or distressed industrial assets.

Modular Refinery EPC Turnkey Program Management

IDC provides comprehensive Foreign Partner Services including a full stack from Feasibility, concept, engineering, construction, and operations. Our program benefits from strong US Federal Agency Support through US Exim Bank and the US International Development Finance Corporation (DFC). Our modular refinery program enables international partners to deploy proven refinery technology with reduced capital requirements and accelerated timelines. Through our EPC turnkey approach, we manage the complete project lifecycle from initial feasibility studies through construction and operational commissioning.
